Some history

K1801 USSR microprocessor series does not have foreign analogs, it is based on DEC PDP-11

The series includes 16-bit K1801VM1 , K1801VM2 , K1801VM3 microprocessors.
VM2 and VM3 are faster and have much improved functional abilities against the first version.
K1801VM2 integrates additional multiplication, division, and is able to operate with floating point numerals.
K1801VM3 is 2-3 times faster, has extended command set, capabilities for building multiprocessor systems,
can address up to 4 MBytes of memory.

K1801VM1 has the following support microchips:
K1801VP1-014 -
keyboard controller
K1801VP1-030 - dynamic memory controller
K1801VP1-033 - floppy drive controller and parallel interface
K1801VP1-034 - system bus controller
K1801VP1-035 - serial interface

All of them had been manufactured in original 42-pin flat dual inline packages.
ROM chips for K1801 processors were, on the contrary, manufactured in standard 24-pin packages,
for example K1801RE1-000 (8KB).

In addition to those mentioned above, K1801 series microprocessors were also used in "Electronika-BK" ,
designed for home use.
it's price in 1985 was only 510 rubel or $620.
These processors were also used in "Electronika-NMS" , analogical to "Electronika-60.
