Some history

Microchips, included in the KR1810 set, utilize both 16-bit and 8-bit capabilities and have many features
that give additional flexibility to a computer system.
KR1810 includes a universal central processor KR1810VM86
specialized input/output microchips and other chips that support multiprocessor configurations..

KR1810VM86 is a monocrystal 16-bit microprocessor with multiplexed 20-bit data bus,
manufactured, as Intel 8086, in a 40-pin package.
The processor needs 1,5 V power source. Again, having the same pinout it can be used in 8086 motherboards.
Mnemonics and names of registers are absolutely identical in both processors.
Machine code compatibility allows to run any 8086 programs.

In addition to KR1810VM86, the series includes an 8-bit KR1810VM88 microprocessor, analogical to 8088,
arithmetical coprocessor KR1810VM87 , analogical to 8087,
and input/output coprocessor KR1810VM89 , analogical to 8089.
Almost any 8086/8088 computer system can be built from Soviet microchips.
But KR1810VM87 is not really a 8087 clone, it has only 65000 transistors and consumes less than 3W power.

The series includes the following microchips:
KR1810GF84 - clock generator (8284 analog, 18 pins)
KR1810VG88 - system bus controller (8288 analog, 20 pins)
KR1810IR82/83 - latch registers (8282/8283 analogs, 20 pins)
KR1810VA86/87 - receivers/transmitters (8286/8287 analogs, 20 pins)
KR1810VI54 - programmable timer (8254 analog)
KR1810VT37 - programmable DMA controller (8237 analog, 40 pins)
KR1810VN59A - priority interrupt controller (8259 analog, 28 pins)
KR1810VG72/72A - floppy drive controller (8272/8272A analogs, 40 pins)
KR1810VB89 - system bus arbiter (8289 analog, 20 pins)
KR1810VT02/03 - dynamic memory controllers (8203 analog, 40 pins)

All of them are similar to Intel microchips, not only by purpose and architecture, but also by naming scheme.
Most chips from KR580 and KR1810 sets can be used together.

KR1810 chips were used in many Russian personal computers like ES184x and ES14x (IBM PC compatible),
Iskra-1030 , Neiron-I9 , Poisk , Agat P , and similar.
