Thor's weapon with which he fought against evil is a hammer. Legends say that no one but Thor himself could use this hammer, other deities were not even able to lift it. The Mjolnir has many meanings, it is believed that it increases the endurance and strength of warriors, gives protection to the suffering, protects against the rampage of the elements, protects against poverty, hunger and death, increases fertility. 
Thor's hammer is usually considered a male amulet, but women also often wore it if they wished to become pregnant. At the moment of conception, the Thor hammer necklace was placed under the pillow - it was believed that Thor would definitely help a woman conceive, bear and give birth to a healthy child.
