Annotation: The founder of the Russian chess school, Mikhail Ivanovich Chigorin, left a rich creative legacy. The book introduces the reader to many previously unknown materials, games and comments by Chigorin. Chigorin's articles and notes were not reproduced in collected form in Soviet literature.

2. "Mikhail Chigorin - Life and art" Author: Mikhail Yudovich. Publisher: Physical Soviet Russia. 1982 year. Language: Russian. 208 pages.  Format: standard.

Annotation: In the 19th century, a whole galaxy of outstanding Russian chess players came to the fore, whose work contributed to the birth of a national chess school that received worldwide recognition. The main role here belongs to Mikhail Ivanovich Chigorin. The author of the book introduces the reader to the most significant events in the life and work of this outstanding chess player, using the example of his best games and problems, he shows Chigorin's contribution to the development of chess theory.
