Anthraxolite (so-called elite shungite) is a solid carbonaceous compound, insoluble in organic solvents and consisting mainly of carbon (95-100%).
Anthracrysolite is a group name for solid anthracite-like bitumens of the highest degree of metamorphism. The term was introduced by the Canadian researcher E. Chapman (Chapman, 1871). The name comes from the Greek (anthrakos) - coal.
Anthraxolite is a brittle black shiny substance. Fragmentation is shell-shiny. The density is 1.3 to 2.0. Elite shungite occurs as small vein inclusions and nests, usually in combination with magmatic rocks and minerals of hydrothermal origin. The elite schungite mineral is not mined industrially, it is harvested by hand. The reserves are limited. This mineral is very light due to its high carbon content.
It is used for the mineralization of water in the household, for harmonization of the human biofield and protection against electromagnetic radiation, mineralization and purification of water, and also as a talisman.
