Pharmacological action
Vasalamin is obtained from cattle vessels and is a complex of proteins and nucleoproteins that have a selective effect on vascular tissue, contribute to the normalization of vascular wall functions, and also positively affect the dynamics of cholesterol and blood lipoproteins.
As a result of a comprehensive study in 108 patients with atherosclerotic lesions of the arteries of various localization (intra- and extracranial, peripheral arteries) and the severity and pathology of the microcirculatory bed, it was found that the use of cytamine Vasalamin improves overall well-being, especially in patients with cerebrovascular disorders.
In most patients with capillary bed pathology, after the use of Vasalamin, an increase in the strength of the capillary walls was observed, the condition of the skin and hair improved, and the frequency of intradermal hemorrhages decreased. According to clinical and laboratory blood tests, it was found that the use of Vasalamin contributes to a significant decrease in the level of total cholesterol, while there was a decrease in the content of the most atherogenic lipoprotein fractions in the blood. This effect, apparently, is associated with the action of niacin contained in Vasalamin, a factor in reducing the increased content of lipoprotein.
