Some history about 1802 LCI set:
After the research work carried out in 1977-1979 at NIIME, began the development of an 8-bit microprocessor
complex based on TTLSh technology "to expand the 585 family" .
The first, schematic stage of development, was carried out in Zelenograd NIITT, and the second
(development of topology, design and introduction into production) - at NIIME.
In 1981, this work was completed.
Microprocessor set of 1802 series represents 8/16-bit sectional microcircuits for building high-performance computers and electronic equipment devices,
including support for digital signal processing. During its design was laid the possibility of implementing on it processors with a computer architecture of a number of "NC".
But it was architecturally significantly different from the "asynchronous" LCI of series 587 and 588.
The microcircuits of the set, which require maximum performance, are made according to the ESL circuitry with a TTLSh frame.
The rest of the microcircuits are made according to TTLSh-circuitry.
A distinctive feature of the kit is a wide range of functional expanders (multipliers, dividers, shifters), multicast registers of general and special purpose and switching devices.
When developing the kit, was used "slicing" according to a functional feature. A hypothetical computational module containing the main processor units
was divided into sections of the largest possible bit width with the separation of functionality across the LSI of the set.
The main properties of the kit:
- unlimited bit capacity build-up;
- microprogrammability;
- the ability to emulate an arbitrary command system;
- flexible architecture and a large selection of microcircuits;
- high performance.
The 1802 series can be supplemented with 589 and 1804 series ICs. Full compatibility with other series with TTL and TTLSh levels of logic signals.
The 1802 series used in the "S-300" and "Triumfator" anti-aircraft missile systems.
Great item for chip collectors !!!
LCI from the old stock, new, in working order.
