Wire wrap a donut pendants tutorials PDF

This pendants was crafted by wrapping copper wire around Stone donuts. Valeriy Vorobev shares some design options for creating jewelry with gemstone donuts.

Gemstone Donut Pendants. Donut beads (or donut pendants) are a large disk with a very large hole. This shape is also known as a ring.

25mm (1″ diameter) Gemstone Donut Pendant Beads for jewelry making can be simply tied with pretty cording, or they can be seed beaded, wire wrapped.

Gemstone donuts come in a variety of stones and sizes! I love gemstones in all shapes, sizes and colors! But recently, I have been having fun with one shape in particular, gemstone donuts. They are round, washer-shaped gemstones, with a hole in the center.

Copper wire is the most common and affordable option, so it is perfect for beginners.

Copper is a popular choice for jewelry making for many reasons. It has a beautiful color and has many opportunities for patinating. It is easy to work with and relatively inexpensive to buy. Copper is often recommended as a great material for beginners who would like to get some practice with wire. It gives you great practice before moving on to the more expensive sterling silver option.

I myself really love copper wire and often make jewelry out of it. In almost all of my lessons, I use copper wire.

Use appropriate copper wire thickness.
I make jewelry of wire 1 mm (18 ga) wire for the frames and 0.4 mm (26 ga) thick wire for the weaving.
You can use wire with a thickness of 0.8 mm (20 ga) wire for the frames and 0.3 mm (28 ga) wire for the weaving.
