A ring made of a large coin (florin) from the time of King George VI of Great Britain, the one about whom the film "The King's Speech" was filmed. Until 1946, this coin was issued from silver, and from 1947 - from a copper-nickel alloy. You can also find the silver version of this ring in the catalog of our store.
The coin depicts the symbol of England - a rose, the symbol of Scotland - thistle and the symbol of Sev. Ireland - shamrock. The center of the composition is the imperial crown. The inscription "IND IMP" stands for Emperor of India, and FID DEF as Fidei defensor (lat.) - "Defender of the Faith."
