We made this hairpin from birch. We carved this chanterelle by hand using woodcarving chisels. . The hairpin itself was tinted with other stains. An environmentally friendly shellac coating was used as a finishing layer. Shellac as wood finish is natural and non-toxic in its pure form. A finish made of shellac is UV-resistant.
