Five business days to paint, and at least another 3 weeks or so to dry, as I work in oil. This painting also has impasto texture, which means thicker paint, and consequently a longer drying time.

My painting is oil paints on a panel, using mainly a palette knife, with thick application, bold strokes, painterly detail, and rich colors.

The palette knife gives my art a unique combination of contrast, fluidity, depth, texture, and impact. The unique thick texture achieved with the knife reflects the light more than a regular brush painting and gives a beautiful sense of movement, with subtle highlights.
