Decorative emblems (shields), handmade replica of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Finally, we can show you the result of working with shields and, in fact, why everything was started! 
So, we made these shields for ourselves, as part of the entourage for a party in the style of the Witcher.
We made them from a solid board 22 cm wide and 1.5 cm thick (we took boards from our old stocks (of the last century), since we could not find a solid board of the required width on sale, but for this project we really wanted to leave the texture of natural wood under drawing, just as we didn’t want to take plywood or knock down shields from several planks).
These two shields was made a little differently: the Redanian one was covered with white primer, and the Temerian one was just stained to keep the texture and color of the wood under the "scuffs".
For the edging, we selected leather straps with a vintage effect, in the same shade, but with different textures.
The shields are pasted over with leather, and the nails perform rather a decorative function. We decided to pre-drill holes under the nails so that the boards do not crack.
In previous stories you can saw detailed photos of the process of working on each of the shields. But, most likely, we will write a short article about this later.
In our opinion, they perfectly complemented the space, coupled with a Fiend trophy, a painting of the winery "Corvo Bianco" and stylized portraits.
