INCI: milkweed wax; Euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax.
Manufacturer: Germany.
Appearance: fragile and hard wax in the form of yellow plates.
Solubility: almost insoluble in water. However, we will dissolve well in oils and organic solvents.

It is extracted from the leaves and stems of the candelilla shrub (euphorbia).

Properties: Candelilla wax is a good substitute for beeswax in the so-called "green" cosmetics. Unlike the latter, it does not cause allergic reactions. Can be used in combination with many other waxes.

Application: Used in lip balms for shine and color brilliance, as well as in water-repellent creams. A good option for cosmetics where high glide performance is required. It is used as a shock-absorbing and structuring agent, retains moisture well. In decorative cosmetics, it often acts as a thickener and a binder for other ingredients.

Dosages: it is recommended to inject no more than 5% wax into creams. In soap it is used as an emulsifier (no more than 5%), in lip balm and lipsticks - a maximum of 13%.
