Zinc oxide is a colorless crystalline powder, which is insoluble in water, ethyl alcohol. It dissolves well in diluted mineral acid and acetic acid. Application

Zinc oxide (zinc oxide) is used as a vulcanization activator for some rubbers, a vulcanizing agent for chloroprene rubbers, a catalyst for the synthesis of methanol, a white pigment in the production of paints and enamels, a filler and a pigment in the production of: rubber, plastics, paper, perfumery and cosmetics.
