Maltodextrin, imp. - this is the name of a special starch syrup. It is hydrolyzed by an enzymatic method. Because of this, glucose molecules are formed.

Appearance - powder from white to cream color.

Maltodextrin is produced by the enzymatic breakdown of starch (potato, rice, corn).

The chemical composition of maltodextrin consists mainly of dextrin (up to 70%), glucose (up to 50%) and maltose (up to 80%).

Glycemic index - 105-136

Maltodextrin is widely used in sports nutrition, because It is not sugar and has a sweet taste, like sugar, it causes a jump in blood glucose and is deposited in fat, is a source of energy.
